Who are the people behind our healthcare IT solutions? We would like to introduce our team to you! This time: our Product Owner Lieke.
“As a Product Owner, I work closely with both our Products and Development colleagues. I act as a sort of link between these departments. I prepare the sprints from a content perspective, making sure they run as smoothly as possible, and I keep a close eye on the key priorities and any new urgent matters.
Together with my colleagues in Products, I also review proposed changes to the software, ranging from smaller tweaks to new functionalities. I know our software very well, which is particularly useful here. Something that seems like a small change can, for example, still have an impact on many different areas. I make sure we keep a close eye on that.”
“We work with sprints, of course, so it varies a little from week to week! Some days involve a lot of meetings, for example around sprint planning and retrospectives. However, gathering information from different people across the organisation is something I do almost every day, for example to make sure a ticket is complete before it goes to Development. Is everything clear? Is there a click path? What is the priority? I find the right colleagues to get clarity quickly, so that the process can continue smoothly.”
“As I mentioned, in-depth product knowledge is very useful. I can quickly assess the impact of a particular customer request or proposed change. You also need to be able to keep an overview, be organised… And you need to think logically, so that you can draw well-founded conclusions and explain your reasoning. I’m also known for being quite critical. Ultimately, that critical eye often helps us maintain quality, while also allowing me to act as a kind of ‘filter’ for Development. Getting the right information straight away saves time later in the process.”
“Working with my colleagues! I think everyone says this, but we really do have a great team, and that makes the working day so much more enjoyable. I also really like seeing your efforts result in something tangible and successful. That’s very rewarding.”
“That's a difficult one! I think it’s always good to keep working on yourself and keep learning. I want to continue developing myself, both professionally and in terms of how I approach life.”
“We have a very broad product portfolio, with an incredibly extensive range of functionalities. For a company of our size, that’s genuinely impressive.”
