Hey maarten! What is your job at CODE24 like?

“As a consultant, I normally focus on product implementations for clients. In addition, I have also set up the
e-learnings together with Thalita - I mainly focus on the technical setup and the information that goes into it. A fun task, especially since I have previously given the 'live' courses at our location a number of times. Translating the material into a new format was a nice challenge.

I also sometimes do internal projects, mainly concerned with the implementation of new tooling for our colleagues.”

WHAT DOES AN AVERAGE WORK DAY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?

“At the moment I am very busy with our e-learnings, haha! But usually it depends on the project I am working on and what phase this project is in. I have quite a few meetings, both internally and with clients. Then I can get to work on shaping the client's wishes in mConsole - for example by setting up lab forms, arranging request codes or creating mappings for HL7 messages.”

What skills are most important for your role?

“You need to be able to plan well and keep an overview. Communication skills are also very important of course - as is customer orientation. You need to consider the customer's wishes well and be creative in the solutions that you can set up for them in the software. A certain degree of technical insight also helps with that of course.

Oh, and if something goes wrong, you need to be able to isolate problems - where exactly lies the problem? Then you can solve it in a targeted manner.”

What do you like best about your job?

“Delivering something nice that the customer is happy with! I really like the fact that I have a great deal of independence in this. I also like figuring out new tooling, which is why the internal projects suit me well. And the fact that I have nice colleagues is also not unimportant!”

What would you like to achieve?

“Hmm that is a hard one… I was already able to make the switch from support to consultancy at CODE24, so I definitely want to continue developing my skills in that area in the coming period. The technical possibilities of our solutions are very broad, so I want to delve further into that.”

What should people know about CODE24, according to you?

“Within CODE24 there is room to develop yourself in the direction that interests you and you will receive the support to get there.”
